5.    Nacra 5.8 N.A.

This is my latest model, built for Christmas 2005 for Skipper Bill and Crew Gaby, who sail the actual boat on Lake Michigan.  The model was built after taking measurements from other similar full-sized boats, and by studying photographs of the actual boat, to the scale of 1:24.

6.     Eight-person crew shell

My daughter was the cox of the Holy Cross women's varsity eights.  This model was built after taking measurements from the full-sized Ronald S. Perry, to the scale of 1:24, and took nearly as long as her undergraduate degree course!

7.    Colchester oyster smack Dorothy

The oyster smack Dorothy was originally built in the 1890s, and still sails today off Mersea Island, in county Essex in the south-east of Britain.  This model was built in 2002, to the scale of 1:24.  As the Dorothy is 34 feet long, this makes the model 17 inches long.

9.    Optimist pram dinghy - brand new to come!

The Optimist is the starter sailboat of choice worldwide. This 1:12 model is still under development.  To whet your appetite, below is a winter view of "Optis" at Roton Point Club.

If you have a child or two in the Opti sailing program, a customized model will continue to bring back memories long after he/she has graduated way beyond sailing this boat!
